Looking for a dog trainer can be a mine field and confusing for the dogs owner, there are many dog training businesses around, who should you choose?  The dog training industry is unregulated and anyone can just set up as a dog trainer with out any prior training or experience.

There are a number of organisations that help to raise the bar to become a dog trainer by assessments of practical and theoretical knowledge, and they all have to prove they knowledge! These organisations include: School of Canine Science, IMDT, APDT, VSPDT, PPG, IAAC and ACE.

All dog training businesses registered on the directory hold full insurance, proof of insurance is required before any business can be added, along with providing copies of qualifications.
