About Us

 Hi I'm Gill, since the age of five I have always been around animals. Initially with a fox terrier named Shandy and then subsequently 

with five other dogs, rabbits, cats, goldfish, guinea pigs, and even​ a love bird. I am a caring pet owner and sadly lost my 

15 year old collie dog in November 2018. Whilst searching around various rescue centres and re-homing websites I came to understand just how much I enjoy being in the company of dogs cats and other small pets. 

 

After several weeks of looking for a suitable rescue dog, an add on pre-loved in January 2019 led me to find my beautiful girl Bella. 

and even though she has a number of response issues, Bella is one of the most soulful, loving and affectionate dogs I've ever met. 

She has become my inspiration and motivation.

 

Having spent over 30 years in the child care, education and training sector, I realised that it was time for me to move on and find a new challenge. 

 

In March 2019 I started undertaking a few online Dog walking & Pet sitting courses, as well as dog behaviour training and pet first aid. Along with my own pup, I began walking a few dogs for friends and working with a few local dog trainers to help my journey with Bella

 

Working in child care (even owning my own nursery)I felt sure many of the skills I have would be transferable and stand me in good stead for the future. So in May 2019 I set up my own professional dog walking and pet setting service - Bella boo’s of Newport. 

 

Since then I have continued to study all things "dog"  In December 2019 I came across Absolute Dogs*

Following Tom & Lauren has given me the opportunity to transform myself and Bella in ways I didn't think possible, and in June 2020 amidst the chaos of Corona virus lockdowns, I embarked on the Pro Dog Trainer Emerald course to develop myself as a Concept Coach for Dog Owners. In addition, we also added to our family with our amazing little pup Bonnie, and we (Bella, Bonnie and myself) continue to transform and grow in both our confidence, skills and knowledge. I have become an affiliate member to Absolute Dogs, A-Ok9 and Tuff-e-nuff dog gear to support my business development and because I whole heartedly believe in offering the very best to support our dogs wellness and health.

 

 

When it comes to pet care - we aim to provide the highest level of service to make sure both you and your pet are completely happy. We take account of your pets age, breed​ and temperament, endeavouring to ensure all your personal requirements are catered for. With Bella Boo's of Newport you can be reassured of a trustworthy, reliable service that includes more than just pet care. We cater for all domesticated animals - dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, fish, birds, chinchillas, ferrets etc. Bella Boo's of Newport holds full public liability insurance with Protectivity, all walkers and care givers hold current DBS checks and commit to undertake relevant pet care training (including pet first aid).

 

Meet and Greet

An opportunity for us to get to know each other , discuss your requirements and to start to build a rapport with your pet/s We will go through your personal pet care plan to ensure we meet your needs

 

Pet Sitting Services

Helps relieve anxiety and stress for pets who don’t like being left alone. Price includes upto two pets - additional charges may apply for additional animals. Minimum 3 hours

 

Puppy / Kitten Visits

Perfect if your little fur baby isn't ready to go out yet. I will come to play with them, feed them and clear up any mess. Once able, they will taken out in the garden gradually building up until they move onto walks/ independence outside

 

Overnight Pet Sitting Services

Away for the night ? Would you prefer someone to stay at your house with your fur babies ? Over night stays endure your pet is safe in their own home with someone you can trust

 

Pet Service Drop-ins

Perfect if you’re out all day and need someone to call in and let your pet out for toileting, feeding and generally making sure your fur baby is ok 

 

Pet Bathing and Brushing

Does your pet need a mid groom freshen up ?Have your pet bathed/showered and brushed in the comfort of their own home

Please note - this is not a grooming service

 

Dog Walks (younger /older)

For those very young pups just building up their walking time or for the more mature canine who only needs a short walk with not too much exertion 

 

Pet Transportation

Whether it be the vets , the groomers , a relatives house or boarding kennels for holiday - your pet can be transported safely to be dropped off and/or collected

 

Dog Walking

Single, pair or small group walks ( no pack walk policy ) All walks tailored to meet individual requirements Collection and drop off included

 

Pet Chaperoning

Having your pet at your wedding, christening, birthday party or other special event may be the icing on the cake. Your pet will be brought to the venue, fully supervised and returned home after

 

Evening Pet Services

Perfect for the shift work or those going out for the evening - walks and visits available upto 11pm (last walk 10pm)
